S O U T H E R N G L A M : Hannah and Ethan’s southern glam wedding was such a joy to plan. From the very beginning Hannah and her mother were a team, making decisions all while Ethan was traveling playing baseball. It should be no surprise that we (Sutlan + Co.) always love the opportunity to work with couples AND their parents/families to plan a day that quite literally brings families together. From late night ideas, loads of text messages, changed travel plans, COVID, and everything in between, we had so much fun planning every perfect detail for Hannah and Ethan’s big day at The Barn At Sycamore Farms (one of our favorite venues!). And Sarah of Lele & Beane was the perfect photographer to capture every little piece, from the nod to Ethan’s love of baseball to the beautiful relationship between Hannah and her mama.

Hannah and her girls spent the morning at the beautiful Hunter Paige salon where they sipped mimosas are were pampered by one of Nashville’s top hair and makeup teams before heading to The Barn At Sycamore Farms where our team was already hard at work setting up their perfect day.

Hannah’s custom, perfectly made, gown from Olia Zavozina transformed from a lacey sleeve for the ceremony to a sleek and modern strappy reception dress with a plunging neckline. Hannah’s favorite girls wore bridesmaids dresses from Bella Bridesmaids in different shades of champagne with added shimmer.

To achieve Hannah’s vision of Southern Glam we worked with LMA Designs to combine beautiful bright white with rich (and super southern!) magnolia leaves. One of our personal favorites!

Hannah had a very specific and simple cake design in mind, inspired by Martha Stewart, and Julie from Pink Blossom Bakery did not disappoint (as usual!). And of course, Ethan went for the baseball themes groom’s cake with a nod to The Sandlot in the cake topper.

Pro Tip: If your venue has tall ceilings, use a mix of tall and short centerpieces to help add height and dimensions to your tables and to close the gap between the ceiling and tables.
