Kristin + Al
G R A C E. It’s the most perfect word to describe Kristen and the entire wedding planning process with this amazing couple. COVID threw a few major wrenches in Kristen and Al’s wedding plans (piled on top of their already long distance relationship) and Kristen was the absolute definition of ‘grace’ every step of the way.
What started as a May wedding in Nashville became a private beach beach ceremony in Hawaii and a September party in Nashville (don’t worry, we didn’t skip the ceremony in Nashville for their family and friends!). Sarah of Sarah Sidwell Photography captured the day perfectly. We’ll be over here reliving this amazing day over and over again through her beautiful images. (10/10, highly recommend!)
Kristen knew from the very beginning of planning that she didn’t want to risk planning a ceremony that the rain could foil so we started with a beautiful, dry, plan for their ceremony and it paid off. The morning of their wedding, as the rain came down, we already had the perfect plan in place. There is NO way we could have gotten this dreamy garden feel without Kristen planning for a ceremony under the veranda from the very beginning. Fresh By CarryAnn did not disappoint (as usual) with the overflowing greenery hanging from every possible place including climbing up the gorgeous draping installed by TN Event Designs. The final result literally took our breath away.
If you have read some of our other blog posts, you know we love a clear umbrella photo. But what we love more is couples who smile through it all: rain, COVID, plan A, B, and C, and everything else that is thrown their way. They focus on the beautiful details, their friends, their family and the reason for the entire day.
After a beautiful ceremony guests were treated to a fun cocktail hour of mingling and delicious bite sized appetizers from Bacon & Caviar on the Lakeside Veranda followed by a beautiful reception in The Barn At Sycamore Farms’ Main Hall.
Guest place settings were complete with marble place cards and custom made face masks (what a time to be alive!) that matched the bridesmaid’s dresses and groomsmen’s suits.
Pro Tip: While your guests are outside lining up for your grand exit, sneak in one last private dance in an empty room.
And while you’re at it… get as excited as Kristen was to run through a sparkler tunnel straight into wedded bliss!
Cheers to a lifetime of happiness, Kristen + Al!
